One of the things I love about the classic Sonnar 50′s is the surreal glow they give when shot near wide-open. They do sharpen up quite nicely once stopped down a bit (around f2 on the f1.5 and f1.4 versions). The Nikkor is a personal favourite as it focuses uncoupled down to 0.45m and coupled to 3′ rather than the typical 1m minimum focus of most Sonnar 50/1.5′s (including the other clones
